Your product,
built right,
the first time.
We scope, build, and ship production-ready software. Mostly for founders going zero-to-one, sometimes for teams with software that already exists. Discovery in two weeks. MVP in eight. And we build tools that help founders get there.
Who we are
Heuricity is a small, senior team. We’ve shipped products from zero to scale, built AI-native systems before it was fashionable, and spent enough time on the wrong things to know which questions to ask first.
You work directly with the people building your software. No account managers, no offshore hand-offs, no demo-ware.
We’re UK-based and deliberately small. Small enough to care. Big enough to execute. And opinionated enough to tell you when we’re not the right team.
What we build
MVPs with production-grade bones.
The version you’ll actually demo to customers. Not a throwaway prototype you’ll rebuild in three months.
AI-native product features.
Real, useful AI. Not a chatbot bolted onto a landing page. Built on the current generation of models with current best practices, not what was true eighteen months ago.
Workflows that replace spreadsheets and meetings.
Internal tools for small teams that do the thing end-to-end, instead of passing context between four tabs.
Rebuilds of systems that grew beyond their origin.
The v1 that worked for the first fifty users, and needs to not break for the next five thousand.
Selected work
A few of the things we’ve built recently. Detailed write-ups coming.
Tools we build for founders
Alongside our build work, we’re building the tools we wish founders had access to before they come to us.
Clarify
A conversation with an AI that thinks like a technical co-founder. Founders use it to turn a vague idea into a concrete brief they can share with anyone. 30–45 minutes. You leave with a document.
Foundry
An AI-guided workspace that takes you through the strategic, operational, and commercial thinking most founders skip. For founders who've clarified their idea and need to get ready to build.
How we work
Three phases. Each one earns the next.
Discovery
Two weeks of intensive scoping. We pressure-test your idea against what you actually want it to do, and what it’ll cost to build.
You leave with a written technical plan and a fixed-price proposal for the build. The plan is yours to keep either way.
If we go ahead with the build, the discovery fee is credited against it.
Build
Fixed price, fixed timeline, production-ready MVP. Usually 4–12 weeks; 8 weeks and about £20k is typical.
What you get: deployed code, production infrastructure, a handover doc, and the source. Yours.
What you don’t get: surprise change orders. Scope changes happen. When they do, we price them up-front.
Partnership
Post-launch technical leadership. We stay on as your de-facto CTO, or as senior backup to the team you already have.
Scope: roadmap, architecture calls, code review, new feature work at a reduced rate. Cancel any month.
Not for everyone. If your build is self-sustaining, you don’t need us here.
Equity option
For founders who want to reduce the cash cost and align long-term. Structured as a per-project option, not the default. If we take equity, the retainer and future build work come down accordingly. We’ll talk through what makes sense in discovery.
What we’re opinionated about
Stack
TypeScript + Next.js for web, Expo + React Native for mobile, FastAPI or Node for services, Postgres for anything that matters, Anthropic for LLMs. We pick what’s boring and proven. Your V1 isn’t where you prove a new database.
What success looks like
You shipped on time and budget, users could use it, and when they broke it you had enough logs to fix it the same day. Not cleverness. Not breakthrough architecture. Just a thing that works.
What we don’t do
Pure staff augmentation, pre-written design-system projects, blockchain consulting, or anything where the scope is “we’ll figure it out as we go.” If the problem isn’t clear in discovery, we’ll say so.
How we scope
Discovery ends with a plan that’s specific enough to fixed-price. If it can’t be fixed-priced, it’s not ready to build yet. We’ll tell you what’s missing.
Ready to talk?
A 30-minute call, no pressure, no pitch deck. We figure out if we’re the right team for what you’re building. If we’re not, we’ll tell you who is.
